Táimid ag iarraidh ar dhaltaí gearrscéal dar teideal ‘Santa moves to West Cork’ (thart ar 200 focal) a scríobh, agus foilseofar rogha de na hiontrálacha is fearr i bhforlíonadh mór na Nollag 'The Southern Star’s Christmas in West Cork'.
Iarrtar ar gach scoil iontráil amháin a roghnú agus é a sheoladh, mar aon le grianghraf den pháiste, a (h)ainm, a n-aois, a rang agus ainm na scoile chuig:

West Cork Education Support Centre has teamed up with The Southern Star newspaper in organising a monthly writing competition for all primary schools in West Cork.
Each month a theme is announced and pupils are invited to write stories of no more than 200 words on the topic.
Each school entering the competition will please select one entry from the school, type it up and email that entry to us in the West Cork Education Support Centre at a dedicated email address:
Dympna Daly, Director West Cork Education Support Centre will oversee the selection of a number of entries for publication.The writers of each published entry will receive a special certificate of publication.

The Southern Star is once again running its hugely popular Christmas essay challenge for primary school students throughout West Cork, in conjunction with the West Cork Education Centre.
We’re asking students to write a short story titled ‘Santa moves to West Cork’ (200 words approx), and a selection of the best entries will be published in The Southern Star’s Christmas in West Cork bumper festive supplement.
Each school is asked to select one entry and send it, along with a photo of the child, their name, age, class and name of school to:
