WCECW334 Supporting students with Hypermobility in the school environment

This course will describe the clinical presentation of children and teenagers with hypermobility and the impact of hypermobility that one may expect to see on everyday school functioning. The course will provide teachers with  strategies to support students with Hypermobility in the context of the school environment, and sign post teachers to resources which can support their students.

 

Bio: Claire is a senior paediatric Occupational Therapist working in the West Cork area. Claire has graduated with honours from UCC in 2011 with a BSc in Occupational Therapy. Claire completed her MSc in Sensory Integration through Ulster University in 2019. Claire was awarded the Greg Kelly MSc student of the year award for her research in Sensory Breaks in national schools for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
