WCWAUT22231 Pip and Pap Phonics in the Classroom

WCWAUT22231 Pip and Pap Phonics in the Classroom

Pip and Pap Phonics in the Classroom: This course will share examples of plans and resources used within the Pip and Pap Phonics Programme – through the use of ‘Planet Challenges’ for whole class teaching, and ‘Satellite Challenges’ for supporting the Lowest 20% of pupils to ‘keep up’, rather than ‘catch up’. The session will draw on examples of how learning in discrete phonics sessions can be applied within everyday classroom activities, into Key Stage 2 (7-11- years)and beyond. The course will also share how the scheme’s decodable reading books can be used with individuals and small groups, to ensure children have opportunity to apply their phonics learning with confidence.
