WCECW22055 Support Group for Teachers of ASD Classes

Primary NQT teachers and first time teachers in ASD classes are invited to a support group session held by SEN teacher Mrs. Libby Conroy, Grad. Dip SEN, M.SEN (Autism). 

 She will talk about key ASD classroom issues such as sensory processing impairments, movement breaks, challenging behaviour, language and social skills difficulties on how to structure the environment in your class to suit ASD needs.

She will also look at different teaching methodologies and communication styles that work with ASD children.

Teachers are asked to bring any concerns or questions they have and time will be given to discuss any issues.

Libby is a primary school teacher and for over fifteen years has been working in the area of SEN.

Over these years she has gathered a wealth of practical skills, tips and strategies which we hope new teachers will find useful while setting up and running their own ASD class.
