          Cooperative Teaching, In-class Support and Supporting the Classroom Teacher 


This webinar looks to support Special Education Teachers (SETs) who are using or hope to embark upon in-class support as part of their schools’ overall inclusive education practices,

with reference to the scaffolding of learning of students with special educational needs (SEN). This webinar will aim to;


  • Explore the theory and rationale for cooperative teaching
  • Examine the many configurations of cooperative teaching
  • Explore its impact at all levels 
  • Provide practical ideas for the implementation of cooperative teaching and ideas on good practice to best support student need
  • Discuss the prerequisites to plan, deliver and evaluate cooperative teaching at whole school and classroom level

Angela Martin

Angela is a Special Education Teacher at present and formerly the Assistant National Coordinator of the Post Primary Team with the Special Education Support Service. She lectures in N.U.I Maynooth on the Post Graduate Diploma on Special Educational Needs and to the Professional Masters in Education students on Differentiation and Special Education
